Aim:

Concetrates mainly on research aimed at expending knowledge of the effects of technical, economic and social changes on society and individuals citizens, research support is primarily in the form of projects grants to individuals scientists. Grants have mostly been made for large and long –term projects. During the period of 1965-85 more than 500 million kronor were awarded, of which about 20 per cent was for research in social science. More than 15 per cent for research in the humanities and the remainder for research in natural science, medicine and technology.
