Operates nationally in the fields of education, social welfare and studies, science and medicine, the arts and humanities, law and other professions through self –conducted programmes and research and internationally through publication and lectures. Carries out basic and applied research, financed mainly by the Norwegian research council for science and the humanities or governmental officers. Offers training and advice to young researches.
