Aim:

The foundation has a dual role. The programme department encourages initiative on behalf of children, youth, the elderly, the third world scientific endeavors, the environment and urban planning, and art and culture. In 1986 the foundation awarded 400 Jeunes Decourverties grants to young people undertaking artistic, cultural or sporting activities during the summer holidays, and 100 action humanitaire grants for young people undertaking humanitarian projects. The foundation also awards annual science prize to one or two scientists who have made their work accessible the general public. The trustee Department administers and redistributes the property entrusted to its gift or bequest.
