EUROPEAN CULTURAL FOUNDATION

Aim:

Operates internationally in the fields of education, environment, social affairs, the arts and humanities, the media and international relations through a grant programme and a European network of scientific institutes and centres. Since 1975 the foundation has et up: European institute of education and social policy in Paris, with Branch office in Brussels; institute for European environment policy in Bonn, with branch office in London and Paris; European co-operation fund in London jointly with the policy studies institute; European centre for work and society in Maastricht, jointly with the queen Juliana Foundation; these institutes and centres organise conferences, issue publications, and in some cases, run a library and visiting fellows scheme. National committees have been set up in 15 European countries to represent the foundation at national level and carry out activities on its behalf. The foundation also maintains a grant programme in support of projects involving at least three European countries and of European inspiration.
