Aim:

Founded in 1966 by Imelda Romualdez Marcos to construct, establish and maintain in a single site a national theatre, a national concert hall, an angallery and such other buildings and facilities as are necessary for the holding of conferences, seminars, concerts and the like, to awaken the consciousness of the Philippine people to their cultural heritage, and to encourage them to assist in its prevention of, distinctive Philippines arts in various fields; to discover and develop talents connected with Philippines culturasepursuits, and create greater opportunities for individual and national self-expression in cultural affairs; to encourage the organisation of cultural groups and the holding of cultural exhibitions, performances and similar activities.
