Founded in 1973 by Dr. Hafeez Malik, to promote research on Pakistan.
Activities:
Offers fellowships in several categories (pre doctoral research, postdoctoral study, library service, professional development) to scholars and advance graduate students who are American citizens and are engaged in research on Pakistan in ancient, medieval and modern times, in all fields of the humanities and social science. Special project grants in archaeology, anthropology and other social sciences, funded by the Smithsonian institution (q.v.) are also available.
