AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, INCORPORATED

Founded in 1953 by John D. Rochefeller III to support teaching and research related to the economic and human problems of agricultural development, primarily in Asia.

Activities: 

operates in Asia and Africa in the fields of education, social science studies, and economic affairs, through self-conducted programmes, research, grants to institutions, fellowships, conferences, courses, lectures and publications. The Council supports a staff if resident rural social scientists in Asia and Africa.
